With the GC-PX10, JVC has shown its characteristic maverick nature by bringing out a camcorder that looks, and in many ways behaves, like a digital camera. Compared to current digital cameras, its £700 price looks expensive, but amongst other premium camcorders this is reasonable. Video quality is excellent, still image performance very good, and there are lots of enthusiast features, making this a very successful hybrid device, although still much more attractive if shooting video is your primary concern.
