  • @frnnk if it was dick cheney or donald rumsfield making this speech, u might have a point, but don't act like each individual american was fabricating evidence for invading iraq. Even working in the military, the guys entitled to his opinion, and hes smart enough to see through the bullshit. good on him i say.

  • @claudruiz no hes saying comparative advantage is the most fundamental economic concept that underlies all civilization

  • The whole thing is horeshit because the main underlying concept for all his justification and interesing theory is "act how we want you to act or else you will be destroyed".

This is great for America and it seems logical in a sick inhuman way but for all the other countries who just want to live how they want to it's a serious threat.

Why is having a system different to the U.S. even bad? Shame we are made to rightly accept and tolerate differences but the politicians who advocate it don't!

  • Look at Daniel Dennett's Ants, terrorism, and ??? talk on TED; he touches on this topic of other cultures not yet ready for our ways of life.

  • he is right!

It's not "the west" against "the east".

It's "the best" (integrated in globalisation) against "the rest" (the guys who like to stay in 7th century society, afraid of women, modernity and critical thinking).

  • "horseshit?" bang up analysis... care to elaborate?

  • I don't argue about "How", but the "Why" and "What".

    Barnett is correct about "how".

I think "Why" is greed among other things.

I think "what" has some big problems.

Your understanding of "who" is also missing some detail, as one need only look at what hitler and the nazi's said replacing Jewish terrorist with Muslim terrorist to see that we have seen this all before.

  • This so-called ill treatment and torture in detention centers, stories of which were spread everywhere among the people, and later by the prisoners who were freed were not, as some assumed, inflicted methodically, but were excesses committed by individual prison guards, their deputies, and men who laid violent hands on the detainees.

    who said that?

    A) George W. Bush

    B) John Ashcroft

    C) Donald Rumsfeld

    D) Someone else

Rudolf Hoess, SS Kommandant of the infamous Auschwitz death camp.

  • He talks in a round about way.

WMD = He's got a gun.. well it was dark.

That's how you get a Democracy to go to war, the "big lie".

hitler talked about Germany being under terrorist attack.

Here we are rounding up Arabs as terrorists and putting them in detention centers, where we torture them.

One needs to torture to get a person to admit to being a member of a terrorist organisation that doesn't exist.

Just as the church would torture people for crazy confessions.

  • A war against terrorists? Sounds a lot like what hitler said in forming his new order.

Who was the first terrorist group in America?

    FEMA: "The Founding Fathers"
