Here is the raw footage of the underwtaer ROV test of a device created by the Harwich Engineering Technology class. This project was designed by Tyler Kane who led fellow students in its development. We had a beautiful morning off Harwich port deploying and retrieving the ROV. Watchin the device submerge and reappear at the surface. In addition to motors and propellors that remotely move the device it houses two black & white TV cams, can take water samples, and has a remote claw.
This was quite and adventure and after the group practiced in 8' of water we moved on to the local fish weir to see what we could find. This included seeing a live sandshark in 14' of water caught in the netting, Tyler and Jack attempt to free the unfortunate shark without luck.
