  • OK FOR ALL DUMBASSES THAT THINK THEY ARE SMART, IT IS NOT THE STARTER, I HAVE KNOWN THIS FROM THE FIRST TIME IT CRANKED LIKE THAT. IT IS NOT THE CAMSHAFT, IT IS NOT THE TIMING BELT. IT IS SIMPLY THE BAD GAS SIEZED UP THE INTAKE VALVES, BY LEAKING ONTO THEM AND RUNNING DOWN THE VALVE STEM INTO THE VALVE GUIDES. THEY ALL GOT STUCK AND GUMMED UP, IN THE OPEN POSITION, HENCE NOT HAVING COMPRESSION, FOR IT ALL JUST GOES BACK OUT THE INTAKE.

  • @ashho56 Fuck, you DO have an attitude! If you didnt want the advice, then why post this video in the 1st place? and keep saying "I don't understand this, I don't understand that". If you don't want helpful advice, then DONT POST. The people that posted saying its possibly the starter are only offering you good (FREE) advice. You're the DUMBASS for not taking it, and thanking the people who gave it to you. ARSEHOLE!!!

  • @skatesneakerlover u hhave no idea how many comments about the starter that i erased from this video, then u would get it.

  • @skatesneakerlover And i never asked what was wrong with it, i asked why it happen, as in what caused it. not what the problem is.

  • Sounds like the starter motor isn't engaging . Give the starter a couple of smacks with a stick while turning it over but don't take my word for it

  • @landroverdisco100 yeah its engaging its the valves

  • i had a 95 civic do the same thing ani had one person tell me i was the vavles but come to find out the starter was not turning the fly wheel enough to start it well it was that an the fullpump an filter wouldnt hurt to check

  • If the motor is turning, take off the cambelt cover. Get someone to turn the key again and see if the crankshaft and camshaft are turning. What youre hearing is a simple fault. Worst case, the cambelt's snapped and the starter is only turning the crankshaft. Then you may have valve and head damage. Check the starter first...cause thats what it sounds like.

  • Before you go stripping the head or anything, do the small obvious checks first. Listen carefully to your video....at 0.59 you hear the starter engage and turn the motor. The sound after that was exactly how a motor should sound when turning over. After that all you were hearing is the starter turning. Get someone to turn the key for you while you check under the bonnet to see is it ACTUALLY turning the engine. If its not, take out the starter, could be solenoid stuck or bendix is broken...

  • @ashho56 here's what I would do Ash. Your exhaust valves are opening, no issues. Closing fine too. Sooo, its not timing. Its the fact that you got stuck open intake and it won't have compression. So see if you can free them. meaning if you have to... take the head off.
