The great James P. Johnson's 1923 version of the classic Spencer Williams blues song. The piano this time is a UK-built Weber 'Pianola' circa 1917. The case is slightly more elaborate than the normal Hayes-built models of the period having parquetry panels to the front and sides, curved mouldings and legs and carving on the front columns. Further to comments made on my previous videos the keys DO actually 'ghost' on this. it hasn't been tampered with - it's a large upright - 55 inches tall and the keys are weighted to the front. Sorry the picture's not the best - hope you enjoy anyway.
