I agree with branbradmeg. It must be soo easy to judge a parent behind an annoymous name but i am almost positive that this mother has been threw alot more then mothers without children with colic and has stayed up late hours, held, cared for her child and came out a stronger person. I bet half of the haters would have a mental breakdown because you are all weak and can only judge behind the internet.

Colic is the name given to the sharp, intermittent abdominal pains or cramps that occur in babies whose digestive systems are still growing.

Good for you for posting this. People have no idea how common colic is. I know how difficult colic must be on you and your baby. Cheers.
What exactly is colic and what can be done about it? I'm just wondering.

There's a lot of different speculations about what causes it. There's also two different categories of "colic", where one is caused by painful gas due to some allergy, and the other seems to be a kind of depression as though the baby misses the womb. Changing diet helps some people. Wearing your baby lots helps others. Sometimes you just have to wait until it stops. Most colicky babies are fine by 3 months, which was the case with Gaia.

Now this should be a commercial for condoms seriously what do you mean you can't calm her down stop filming and hold her in your arms I can only imagine how tired that baby must be after 6 hours of this

the reason i put the video up is for my own memory. i figured filming her for a few seconds wouldn't hurt her. there really isn't anything you can do with a colicky baby. i held her, breastfed her, sang to her, bathed her, changed her, took her on walks... it didn't make a difference. the only thing that helped is that around 14 weeks infants starts producing melatonin and it's easier for them to fall asleep. she's been happy as a clam since then. look up "colic" on wikipedia for more info.
