@silverpaul sweet, I got mine more than a month ago from my friend. Its super small and has only grown one leaf since I got it. His tank is co2 injected so I guess it didn't like the move.

is that cryptocoryne crispatula to the right?

@zaracki92 I think the crpyt you're thinking of is a crinkly leaved one, the plant in here that has the ruffled edges is an almighty crinum natans. Currently it's leaves are about 7 ft long....

@silverpaul yea thats the one. If It is a crinum then that is BADASS! how long did it take for the plant to grow that big? I heard they are slow growers. I have a crinum calamistratum and its taking it a long time to grow. What substrate are you using?

@zaracki92 it's 3 or 4 years old now and has flowered a couple of times. It's not that quick a grower.
I had calamistratums, they were quicker, they budded and i ended up with about 6, but it was too messy with them in there too. The substrate is a homebrew of soil, vermiculite and sand laid under a bed of black sand.
I feed the plants daily as well as the fish, and change the water weekly. The weekly water change seems to be the biggest key in getting decent growth.

@zaracki92 If i leave a water change more than a week, plant growth slows a few days after the change was due.
