  • @applevalleyjoe It is refers to the fact that Subaru's are balanced from side to side and front to rear to be equal in weight and other factors so that the car is balanced for better handling.Other AWD and 4WD that are asymmetrical and unbalanced resulting in torque steering and worse performance. Also the way subaru awd is designed helps it obtain a 2/98 or 98/2 power split (front and rear wheels) to get you unstuck.Last longer too because it is simpler in design and less HP lose due to friction

  • Me too man we have 3 subarus and all of them walk all over any other awd system in the snow, their handling is far superior, and their dependability is unrivaled, subaru is my brand of choice for now, and forever, GO SUBARU!!!!!!

  • I think this footage is deceptive. Main reason why Subaru got more traction is of because LSD not symmetric layout. But LSD is disadvantageous for fuel efficiency.

  • If they like symmetry why don't they have a steering wheel and pedals on both sides? :P

  • OK...nice video but what is the symmetrical AWD?

  • I love my subaru:)
