Set on the beach in Negrils West End, the Riu Negril is a large all-inclusive resort that appeals to vacationing couples and families. Located a few minutes from Negrils shopping and nightlife, the resort is made up of several resort buildings, three swimming pools and tennis courts, all surrounded by 50 acres tropical gardens and greenery.

The large lobby is cooled by ceiling fans and crowned by a large-scale crystal chandelier. All rooms have one king or two double beds, mahogany furniture, and a furnished balcony or terrace overlooking ocean, gardens or beach.

Riu Negril has several dining options in the all-inclusive package, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets, several sit-down restaurants with a la carte menus, and pizza and Jamaican jerk chicken snack bars. Sir Andrew is Rius signature fine dining establishment, while the Grill Steakhouse is popular for seafood and steak. Rodizio restaurant has Brazilian cuisine. There are also various poolside cafes, bars, and lounges, all hallmarks of Riu group properties.

The resort has three swimming pools, two tennis courts and a fitness center. Activities include windsurfing and snorkeling, and there are programs for children ages 4-12 throughout the day. Rius Renova Spa has a menu of signature treatments including massage and body therapies. In the evenings the resort offers live entertainment, shows and music, and the nightclub Pacha is open until the early morning hours.

  • I'm very simple, I don't want to get sick from food, I don't want to see cockroaches or have bed mites. I don't care about a lip synching Michael Jackson or Grease show, and I care NOTHING about a pool or swim up bar. All I want is the perfect beach, if you can relate take some advice from me. Make a deal with a cabbie to take you to Bourbon Beach (on 7 mile beach), there is a perfect little bar there and Jerk chicken that is ten times better than at the resort. Spend the entire week there:)

  • Just came back, can't say a thing about the hotel itself, absolutely gorgeous. Staff were friendly and helpful other than a few small instances. Food was great but variety went downhill halfway through the week after the evaluation cards were given out. Best room I've ever stayed in, I could have spit from the balcony and hit the beachwater. One BIG complaint for me is the beach. Sand was hard, and in the water it was very silty and mucky. Tons of seaweed.

  • Riu Negril is among the best Riu hotels in Jamaica. :)

You will surely fall in love with the white sand beach, beautiful beach and high class services. Worth every penny! The Pacha night club is also a perfect place to hang out at night for some drinks. It is cozy and since it's exclusive, not so crowded so you will enjoy your experience. They got some cool music too!!

  • I'll be there this Summer. Can't wait!
