Jan Helfeld interviews Senator Harry Reid about
redistributive taxes. Reid maintains redistributive taxes are not a problem because people are not forced to pay taxes. He says taxation is voluntary???. How and why does Harry Reid get into this bind and make such a preposterous statement?

Deflecting the question, attacking the semantics of the question rather than answering the question, typical moocher vocabulary. "I don't accept your phraseology" has not answered the question. Not to mention, Reid maintains that tax deductions make taxes voluntary. This is the equivalent of choosing to either give mugger your cash on hand, or leading him to your home to steal the remainder of your personal belongings. There is theft regardless of magnitude.
