Senate Health-Care Bill Debate and Vote

The Comprehensive Healthcare Reform Act got a "go" in the Senate on Saturday April 22, 2009 by the 60-39 voting margin. There were not any Repubmicans who voted "yes" on this bill. Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln was the last to give in and was the 60th vote needed to move this to the floor for discussion. Louisiana's Senator Mary Landrieu, was right behind her as the $300 milion dollars promised to Louisiana in the bill was her reasoning to vote, yes. This bill will only go into discussion now and has not been put up to vote, just yet. Harry Reid is jumping up and down for joy now.

I urge everyone, for or against the health-care bill, to contact their Senators and let them know how they feel about this. We do not need more big government and that is exactly what this brings to the table.
