LAHS Marching Band Tommy 2008

This is the exhibition performance at Tournament of Bands in Las Cruces, NM on October 25, 2008!

This year's award winning show is an arrangement of The Who's Tommy, with selections from Overture (It's a Boy), Sparks, Go To the Mirror Boy, and of course, Pinball Wizard. The show features soloist Alex Austell on trumpet and guard soloist Ellen Kress on sabre.

Awards won this year include:

Best percussion, woodwinds, brass, auxiliary, soloist, drum majors, Peoples' Choice and First in Class at Pageant of Bands on October 5, 2008.

Third in Class at Zia Marching Fiesta on October 11, 2008.

Well, the guard did amazing, considering they haven't had an actual instructor since 2005. One of the captains did all of the choreography, costumes, and equipment.
