Listen as Emery Fry plays a Hamer Special set on the bridge pickup with the amp cranked almost to the max! The result is pure power tube saturation, a ton of growl on the bottom and sparkling high-end detail that allows the chords to ring through loud and clear.

  • what does this setting sound like with a strat?

  • @EPICFAILSAM Yeah. P90s are cool.

  • @skurtix or some p90s

  • ok, i am so getting this as a light-weight alternative to my orange. sounds absolutely killer!

  • @Scorieger He's playing high output humbuckers, they are inherently very muddy.

If you want to play intricately, get some low output singlecoils.

  • blackstar artisan 15 if you want something a little more defined. In my opinion this has way more character.

  • Disagree, breaks up but very muddy. Those are straight-forward chords, and they're a bit muddy. What happens when you have an intricate voicing?

  • the Deluxe can get his much drive without being way too loud because it is only 22watts, as opposed to the Twin, which is 85 watts. You can push the power tubes much farther without killing your hearing.

  • sounds sweet, didnt know blackfaces could get this much drive

  • pretty damn clear
