Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, also known as Gianbattista or Giambattista Tiepolo (March 5, 1696 - March 27, 1770) was a Venetian painter and printmaker. He was prolific, and worked not only in the region of Veneto or Venetia, one of Italy's twenty regions, but also in Germany and Spain.
Giambattista (o Giovanni Battista) Tiepolo (Zianigo, 5 marzo 1696 - Madrid, 27 marzo 1770) è stato un pittore e incisore italiano della Repubblica di Venezia.

C'è un candore in questi affreschi unita a una potenza gloriosa.Inoltre questi affreschi sono molti puliti come pittura e si discostano molto da quelle incisioni che io direi ermetiche.

Questo è il lato 'luminoso' di Tiepolo, che ho voluto contrapporre al lato 'oscuro' delle sue incisioni.
