@Pill88Dickle No this is not true. The only war a Muslim is allowed to fight is a self defensive one, which must be stopped as soon as the attacked offers peace, withdraws or is no longer a threat. Contrary to that, the Quran says not to force others to believe, and only to inform them of the message of Islam, letting people deny it if they wish.

@Pill88Dickle No. I can see where people might get this misconception from, in Surah An-Nisa and some other surahs the Quran says to attack the non-believers. But to understand why the Quran is saying this you need to know the background of the Surah. For ex this surah was revealed during battle and the Muslims were being brutally killed when they were praying or not fighting.
