Vocalion 15511 - Harry's version peaked on US music charts at # 13 in 1927.
"Blue Skies" is a popular song, written by Irving Berlin in 1926.
The song was composed in 1926 as a last minute addition to the Rodgers and Hart musical, Betsy. Although the show only ran for 39 performances, "Blue Skies" was an instant success, with audiences on opening night demanding 24 encores of the piece from star, Belle Baker.
Harry Richman (10 August 1895--3 November 1972) was an American entertainer. He was a singer, actor, dancer, comedian, pianist, songwriter, bandleader, and night club performer, at his most popular in the 1920s and 1930s. Richman was born as Harold Reichman in Cincinnati, Ohio.
