@pepinozinanasshole Frying a circuit board on an ballistic missile doesn't do a thing. They all have impact fail-safes, and their trajectory is already set before re-entry. So, no, there is no way to stop a barrage of nuclear MRVs from the likes of Russia. Any such defense system would not operate in a state of perpetuity. It would have to be turned on. You're already dead when you first detect the SLBMs.

I'm not sure I understand. Striking FROM the ocean is what makes Russian/USA so deadly. It's impossible in the foreseeable future to stop a sub-launched nuclear attack. The sub is a stealthy, mobile platform. It's amounts to launching the weapons from within the country being attacked. Zero time for response.
