Mario Kart Wii - The Danswich Cup (Sunday) (2 of 2)

This is the second half of Sunday's Danswich Cup...or what's supposed to be Sunday's Danswich Cup if Nintendo Wi-Fi didn't go down for all of last Sunday. Instead, it was postponed to now.

You can see how precarious a good spot for me can be. How is it that other people can go and remain relatively unmolested while I, finding a desperate chance to take the shortcut before the end, get struck with a Lightning Bolt right after I pass by the last set of Item Boxes?

Race #4
Rainbow Road
I thought I was going to do miserably here, since the Flame Flyer isn't very compatible with Rainbow Road, what with its lack of guardrails and all that. But it turns out I have a pretty stable time racing here as I managed to prevent myself from falling off, K.O.K. narrowly beating me for the runner-up spot. I looked at the map and saw there weren't really very many item assaults either, at least a lot less than what I had witnessed in the previous seven races.

It's very fitting, at this time of year, to see Santa Claus racing around in Rainbow Road, the most coinciding background with Santa's job on Christmas Eve. It's too bad that Sky Garden from MKSC was discluded, as it would have been much more suited.

I'm not sure how Rainbow Road relates to Santa Claus, unless you mean the starry sky.

I'd figure DK Summit would be more Santa Claus-y, since it's snowy and happy.
