How to correctly nett a fish. Do not lean out of boat,OOPS. wait for fish to come to you first and up range of the net handles extension. You may fall out trying to over reach. Get the Net behind the fish deep quite quik so the net opens in water flow behind the fish. at this point the person holding the rod should release line from the reel keeping thumb on spool, by freeing up allows the fish to drop back into net behind it, or drop the rod tip down suddenly allowing the line to free and fish to fall back into the net.
