In January 2008 I walked up Wudang Shan when the buses wouldn't risk the roads. I found this Wu Guan (martial temple) on the side of the mountain. It was pretty early in the morning, and brutally cold. The students were just outside practicing like they do every day. They live there year round and practice 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week.

  • I forgot about that.... Those patches on the ground are ice.

  • Much like motorcycle racing in the rain, practicing bagua on uneven or slippery ground sounds like an excellent if risky form of training.

  • this is very gracefull

  • The accounts that I read are insane. running up and down the stairs with 50 lb bags of rice on your back as a morning warm up is a bit much to me. again I've only read accounts and not physically seen them, but still they methods are insane. Still they produce some outstanding warriors

  • @genbusama whats wrong with the training?

  • Now this is a form of Bagua Jian I would love to learn. Would never go through Wudang Training, esp. old school version, but still I love the forms

  • Great form!

  • excellent, smooth,

even though the ground was slippery..

lost footing a couple times but regained composure..

    nice job
