Here goes my first foray into Windows Movie Maker... and for all of the chopper buffs and model builders, this is for you! Scored to "Helicopters In the Night" by The Instigators, the music is heroic as well as appropriate for these iconic machines. The AH-1 and UH-1 have been doing their duty since 1962 and will be around for some time to come. All models built by me and are in 1:48 scale. Leave comments and feedback and requests too!

@yascumbag I dont know of any motor kits made for vehicles in 1:48 scale. Im sure it is feasbile though

@Defender78 i bought that kit and im not building it until i can figure out how to fit a small ac motor into the inside to power the main rotor for asthetic looks! did you find any place where it could fit when you were constructing 15mm by 25mm space requirement? :\

ive got both of those revell models! the nose gun on my ah1 is different though
love to put a 9v cheap motor in the huey and get the propellers to spin themselves!

ive seen 2 volt dc motors 12mm diameter and 22mm long that could be powered by a single AAA battery. i could hide the AAA in the tail boom hopefully and somehow fix the motor inside facing up to the main prop!
where do you get your decals or do you paint those by hand? (the emblems on the nose)

@yascumbag I painted the 174th AHC nose and side art on by hand, using fine brushes and colored Sharpie markers.
Ive never tried motorizing 1:48 scale anything, but I dont know if the plastic kits are made to withstand vibrations that would rattle the seams apart. Of course Im just guessing!
