BBC Micro Advert - The Story of Daphne

80s advert for the BBC Microcomputer. Daphne's invested a lot of money in that thing - it's got the Prestel adaptor, the disc drive, the additional Z80 processor and something else... teletext adaptor perhaps. I'm envious. All mine had was a coffee stain and a word processor ROM.

As ever, it's the 80s, so anything vaguely computerish goes 'bloopbabloopblablip' regardless of what task it's actually doing.

OMG! I so remember this advert and using the BBC Micro at school incidently the BBC Micro was the first computer I used!!!!

Interesting advert. I have used the BBC computer in my schooldays. At home, I had the Master 128 from 1986 to 1996.

my parents bought me a model B sometime back in the 80's because they thought it would be good for eductional reasons but i just ended up playing chuckie egg on it for hours after school!...im sure it was about £400 at the time!

Good old BBC Micro, just look at all those "cheese wedges" - Prestel, Teletext and 2nd Processor. Not so sure about the cross-dresser in the school girl uniform though...
