Using social justice reformers and liberation theologians such as Paulo Freire, Ivan Illich, Gustavo Gutierrez, and Dom Helder Camara, provides educational consultants a foundation for working with schools, both nationally and internationally, for the type of leadership and human interactions required of school leaders wishing to achieve social justice, equality, globalization, and multiculturalism in the 21st century. Moreover, when combined with a systems perspective, these leaders and schools can become vital, effective role models and learning institutions and institutions of learning.
