  • One thing that always irked me about this scene. A sailor would never call himself a soldier. That having been said, Fitz was one of my favorite characters.

  • @AlterNu Being ex-Navy, I heartily agree. WW writers did get too many things wrong factually. Even in the last episode, Jed tells Abby that the Founders were responsible for setting the Inauguration in January. In fact, it had originally been in March but was changed to January in 1933 by the 20th Amendment.

  • always wished fitzwallace was a bigger part of the show. john amos nailed almost every scene he was in.

  • @amitbarfs Simplistic at best. Yes, the US has a bigger budget than Al Qaeda. The US is also a target in a way that Al Qaeda isn't. The US has a moral constraint to attempt to limit innocent casualties. Al Qaeda clearly has no such constraint.

  • @AlterNu Well it depends, A navy sailor can be a devil doc, seabee, SWCC, SEAL, translator on the ground, MAA, and EOD, I think those sailors can count themselves as soldiers, This guy was a surface warfare officer so idk, but considering how he left the show, I think he deserves to be called a soldier

  • @pengo2008 The Palestinians were offered their own territory and shared sovereignty of Jerusalem in '49. But being foolish and being what could amount to "Arab-zionism" the PLO turned it down. Do not make Israelis out to be the only culprit in the Middle East because they aren't.

  • @pengo2008You just proved my point,.

    "Longest most brutal occupation."

    Let me analyze that..

You're telling me it was worse then when Hitler's Germany occupied France or Poland or even Russia.

Women are raped in by Muslim extremist which doesn't justify anyone else doing it but it does suggest that by you making this an issue that you have an engender because if you were really cared for rape victims in these country's then you would come out against Muslims who do it.

  • @bornbillsmith CONT >> 3 of 3..the longest most brutal occupation in history. In any case you undermine your little argument by doing the following.

a)make assumptions that i don't really care about the issues. you have no basis to say that. But your grasp of the factual is clearly demonstrated anyway.

    b) suggest that more women would have been raped if the US hadn't invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. Really? all discussion aside you're OK with saying that? I think you'd do well at a Bachmann rally.

  • @bornbillsmith CONT>>...e.g...you say Israel is denied its right to self-defence. I would like you to direct me to a source where someone has actually stated israel can't defend themselves..lets be clear. the right to self-defence, not pre-emptive action. just that basic right..if attacked - that they can't attack back. You see its rather difficult when you're a fanboy of the democratic nation of israel that kidnaps and tortures young boys (see UK Guardian and Independent)n is carrying out CONT>

  • @bornbillsmith you're rather typical of the people who support those atrocities as well as Israel's continuing holocaust exploitation. You can say your little piece but spare me the indignant tirade. Its all there in the historical record about israel and the US. Its all non-controversial with respect to borders and international law as well as the right of those under military occupation, but its a mistake to let you draw me into a debate about an issue you clearly seek to misrepresent...CONT>>

  • What a great scene

  • @pengo2008You are making theses comment as justification for your position against the U.S.A..

i can't stand people like you.

You hind behind ethics you really don't believe in to make a point that has nothing to do with thel issues..

It's like there are people who will deny Israels right of defense but will justify Hamas's acts of murder.

If you really cared about these women who have been raped where is your concern

about all the women who would have been raped if we weren't there.
