The graphic novel Last Man Standing has caught the eye of Paramount. The studio has purchased the rights to develop the novel into a multiplatform franchise.

Last Man Standing tells the story of Gabriel, a supernatural soldier who is the last of his kind. Framed by terrorists, Gabriel is sent to a treacherous prison facility, where he spends the next agonizing nine years until his escape. While searching for the truth behind his framing, the once invincible superhero realizes he's quickly dying.

Last Man Standing was one of the most talked-about comic book properties at this year's Comic-Con, and with Paramount on board, it will only continue to grow its popularity.
