Listening to governmental services transmissions without authority is against the law especially in the uk. The whole reason behind the police using tetra is to stop sensitive data from being Rx-ed by anyone other than the recipients. Even with the required hardware you will not be able to recieve the data correctly because each handset owned by the respective authority has private keys which only they hold in a secured manner.

@marioboyyy In responce to your question DMO stands for Direct Mode Only and is a fail safe for network failure but it has very limited range which is about 1 mile. All DMO really is a back to back service
-
@marioboyyy SSI is needed to access the network i.e. O2, orange etc etc airwave is the only service provider in the Uk for the tetra network. GTSI is needed to access the group i.e. Thames Valley Police Oxford central police station, Warwickshire Fire Service Rugby Fire Station etc etc. And finally the ITSI is much like your mobile phone number as it id's the unit.

this number (SSI and ITSI) is probably different from each provider service (groups), right? Is it where possible to find ID for DMO group (or TMO)?

Where can I find MNC code? Is that where published?
Can tetra radio's work alongside the old analogue radio's?
eg. can you program a tetra unit on say 453.025 DMO and use it with an analogue radio on the same freq?
Also, these have a simcard slot in the back, do you know where you can buy the simcards?
