http://www.eporti.com We came across two dogs on our walk in Sausalito with our Portuguese Water Dog Goji in Sausalito. They were Spanish Water Dogs. We had never seen nor heard of this breed before. Smaller than a Porti, but the same high energy. They have a docked tail. Their boatbuilder-owner is breeding them now.

  • @Lusitanus lo dije solo para picarte...jaja

  • @SAACAAS portugal never was spanish, the king was shared but the country was independent...

  • Portugal was Spainish since 1581.

  • Andalusian Water dog ;)

  • @Lusitanus The real name of Spanish and Portuguese Water dog is "Turco Andaluz" (Andalusia, Spain). Brought by the Arabs, and descendant of poodle...

  • Yes, I've seen several spanish water dogs, but they all had tails... : /

  • i met my first Barbet yesterday. great dog! this seems to have sent me on a search about the water dogs of europe. that's how i've come across this nice video. sorry to see so many angry argumentative posts here! for me, i've really liked and admired all the water dogs i've met. clearly they all share a lineage, i hope we can all agree on that?

  • @Lusitanus

"SPANISH WATER DOG DOESNT EXIST EVEN,PERIOD.

    Lusitanus 1 year ago"

I own a Spanish Water Dog, that's a stupid claim from you! Where did you hear that from? lol

  • Anyways, SWDs are awesome! I have one, and like to get another sometime. ^^ <3

  • IBERIAN stock of water dogs that over centuries evolved into separate lineages - one from Portugal the other from Spain. There is some speculate other European water dog types (Poodles, French Barbet, Italian Lagotto) originally came from the Iberian stock, but I would like to see evidence of this..
