It reminds me of the secret world of alex mack, because alex mack could zap electricity from her fingers and a chemical plant was trying to kill her, but in firestarter the shop was trying to get the kid with powers.

This is another classic, I love those movies like Carrie, ET, where a person or creature has powers. Also that scene in the Exorcist when things were flying in her room and she made the dresser move across the floor.

It was amazing how every building, vehicle, and stable was actually a full gas station in disguise.

@Nsinger998 *epic facepalm* It doesn't matter if the sniper is unseen. Any reasonable person would have gotten the Hell out of there.

not if she wasn't expecting them. a true sniper is never seen by his enemy and sniper rifles can fire from way outside a little girl's range. granted, I do agree that it is possible she is emitting an incredible heat "shield" to stop bullets but I found it hard to tell at times.

You know there is a weakness in the script when you have to make the bad guys do stupid things so the hero/heroine can survive. I mean, all they had to do was let some snipers take her out but instead they insist on close combat maneuvers and giving themselves away!
otherwise, excellent movie.
