The Pumpkin of Nyefar

"The Pumpkin Of Nyefar" is a hand animated short film I wrote with Maurice Noble (Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century and What's Opera, Doc?) in Turkey, and co-directed with Mark Oftedal (Toy story, A Bugs Life) at the "Wang film studios" in Taiwan, and Bangkok in our spare time.

The film is narrated by the ever charming June Foray (Witch Hazel, Rocky the squirrel).

Designer Jules Engel (Disney, UPA, Gerald McBoing Boing, Madeline, and Mr. Magoo ) helped on the film as a design consultant. Animator/ designer Sue Kroyer shook things up with a few of her famous "Sexy girl" designs for the harem... and Lawrence Marvit (A Bugs Life, Monsters Inc.) did some great inspirational background sketches to kick things off.

Aaron Sorensen, Dave Marshall, Ben Jones, and Dave Thomas all helped out in the way of animation.

Made as a homage to Maurice and Marjorie Noble, and the traditional animated short subject.
