I missed a lot, but I got a taste of everything. I would have liked to have had more 1 on 1 time with folks- like the talk with Gary on Thursday night... But next time you're in LA, Mike, I'm totally THERE. We can descend upon Katie's house.

Yeah I was really shocked when they made the "real show" announcement during other peoples performance...and it was done several times...poor taste.

i was happy that some of the more subscribed youtubers showed up at the meetup. i have no bit rep on youtube...less subscribers than you guys...but i felt these "popular" people were very approachable and that was cool.

the all ages aspect of the event was NOT driven by YouTube corporate interests...in my work life i have seen many gifted kids applied to activities and many of these are making youtube videos. personally i am fascinated by the energy of these video makers and felt proud to have them at the gathering. i have watched some of their videos and they were doing what we all do...meeting their peers and favourites.

Gary: Ugh! You shouldn't have brought up the Minneapolis gathering. I'm still kicking myself that I totally missed that, and I only live about an hour away!

i am sorry you guys had a bad experience at the gathering. i totally sympathize...in my organizational capacity i feel somewhat responsible but i did not know exactly how things would unfold until they did. i feel bad about that, but i also feel very bad that you guys were cool to when i first saw you at the gathering. : ((
