I don't usually respond to negativity, but I could not resist as yours truly comes from ignorance. First of all, I do not know what style of karate you do, but I would imagine that you have been told that kata is designed to fight multiple attackers, and you would look backward before you move because your attacker is behind you. This is an improper interpretation of the form.Bunkai is interpretive, and changes with each practitioner, and would determine where the person looks during the form.

is this karate? i forgot my kata. im in blue belt now and i forgot all the yellow,white,green,and orange katas. :(

All systems are different, and have different kata. The first one in this video is pretty standard for most Okinawan and Japanese karateka, though it may be called something else.
