Abby and Lena Jarvie are identical twins who were born prematurely in 1992. Heart surgeries
and other serious medical procedures followed, until at age one when they were diagnosed with
Spastistic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy. The girls' talent for singing was recognized by age four, and
since then they have performed throughout the American Northwest. In 2009 they were the Very
Special Arts Young Soloist Award winners for Montana. They have performed for the 85th
Anniversary Celebration for the Shriner's Hospital in Spokane, Washington, and continue to
perform and be ambassadors for hospital by speaking and being part of the hospital's virtual
tour. They were featured performers with Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre in the "Montana
Holiday Spectacular" during the 2008 holiday season. The girls have also performed with the
Montana A Cappella Society and the Missoula Mendelssohn Club. Abby and Lena are currently
looking forward to working on Rainballs as bloggers-in-residence, keepers of our Facebook
page, and Tweeters Extraordinaire.
Thank you so much, we love to sing. We love to show people never give up. Doctors told us we would never walk or talk due to our Cerebral palsy. Our parents never gave up and worked with us and now we say thank you to them and all our doctors and therapist and a big shout out to Shriners Hospital for Children for keeping us walking!.
