Acne treatments require specific lasers which target the bacteria that are infecting follicles, eliminating the infection without the need for antibiotics or medications like Accutane. After your acne treatment, expect to have some degree of redness, ranging from a mild sunburn pink to a deep red (depending on your skin type and skin sensitivity). Patients are photo-sensitive to sunlight for up to 48 hours following treatment. During this time it is advisable to stay indoors and out of direct or indirect sunlight. Skin peeling and crusting is expected for several days after the acne treatment. During the first week, a strict skincare regimen must be adhered to for proper healing and optimal results.

In cases where the patient also suffers from existing acne scarring, sun damage, age spots, rosacea and wrinkles, Photodynamic acne treatments can be customized along with other specialized protocols such as the various procedures incorporated into The Spectra™-Lift.

@WendyLynne Me too.. Ive been using it for about 3wks now and I like it.. The 1st was not really good because my skin got flacky but after that past, my skin started to get clearer and now I only have no acne..not even have an acne scars too.. Great isn't it? omfg, fucking acne is like keeping all of fus from like a social life and like I asked this one guy out and he was all like they sell pro-active at hte mall now...i wish there was like a cure were over night all of oyur pimples would go away for EVER!!!

I used to have severe acne as a teenager and I was prescribed Roaccutune by my hospital (UK NHS). The tablets completely dried my skin but I'm much better for it.

I would say I went from extreme acne to clear within a year, but I still have acne scarring :(

thz suff would actually work but not permanently,i went for thoze treatments b4,like Blue lights to kill bacteria n stuff,it works,but after all your acne has disappeared,u'll need ta maintain it still,like 1x/week for tht healthy skin. And

eating has a lot to do with acnes skin,do not consume nuts,eggs,seafood n oily foods.U'll hear more of the same thg when u consult with ur doctors.

how bout get some essential oils like tea tree lavender oil and rosewood and some honey and you'll be good. my acne is claering up great and i actually got a compliment on my skin!! wow! i wouldnt do all this surgery stuff

Don't buy into this kind of stuff. I have cystic acne and had these treatments, and did not get positive results from this type of therapy at all. It's also very expensive levulan bluelight treatments and laser treatments, and are not covered by insurance.
