Sheriff: Boy Who Fled Chemo Returns to Minn.

A woman and her 13-year-old son who were on the run from court-ordered cancer treatment for the boy returned to Minnesota early Monday voluntarily. The sheriff did not say if the boy received medical care while they were gone. (May 25)

Treatment should never be forced on to any one. Chemo is not something that should be forced on to any one. Our government should not be forcing any one to under go any form of medical treatment. This is unconstitutional and un-American. Jehovah's Witnesses refuse blood transfusions on religious grounds, should they be forced to have them? Parents need to stop giving so much control over their children to the states and our government.

i think the overall point is that parents are incompetent and should not let a 14 year old decide what is necessary and what isn't. at that point the gov has to step in.

No, but what you can expect is a long waiting list and the government will decide which doctors you can see and if you are allowed life saving treatments or not....and the paperwork will be worse than filing for taxes.
