This is Rawalpindi, a city near Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Many Afghan refugees came to this city as well. Children here would get up early every morning to search through garbage.
They would collect discarded paper in the garbage and sell it. One kilo would bring 1 rupee. One naan bread cost 3 rupees. It was all they could to do to earn enough in one day to buy one naan. And even this could make a difference in keeping a family from starvation.
