@tony681216 Tony 兄，我沒有說“老師不需存在”，而是說闞桂香師傅教授的書is a guide for the novice (英文novice是初學者的意思)，那表示那些novices­已經從師學藝了，而書本是一本guide（英文guide是引導­）。讚揚一本書和一位教授，並不一定推論不需要師傅來學功夫；兩­者無必然的邏輯關係。

Professor Sifu Gan Gui-xiang is the first to compile and publish Simplified Chen's Taijiquan which helps many people; later there're many who follow & compile simplified chen's taiji-----more simplified. But Prof. Gan's is the most comprehensive, and has the most well-selected movements. Her book has the best explanation & guide for the novice, e.g. Ze-die & Basic Movements. She is a respectable and excellent professor & sifu !

闞桂香師傅教授是第一個創作,和出版簡化陳式太極的人, 幫助好多人; 以後就好多人學她創作簡化陳式太極, 和出書.好些人就簡化得更簡, 招數少. 但是闞教授的創作, 是比較全面, 解釋又是最到題的, 例如很多書都沒有提到折叠. 她的書又提到基本手法. 她是值得尊重的好教授, 好師傅 !

Prof KGX is much better at writing and theorizing than actual practice of the act itself.

One critical and essential element of Chen Style is the silk oscillating force, but it has not been demonstrated.

Prof KGX is an inspiration. Her form was the very fist chen style I've learned. Her movements are very precise and clear. Of course, she's a Professor and creator of the form.
