Watchmen pretty much is the Blade Runner of superhero films.
Takes multiple views to truly appreciate.
Disliked by most people.
Will age like wine.
Director's cut that is longer and deeper than theatrical cut.

I thought Watchmen was awesome and i grew up with the comics since junior high as i've been waiting for a movie, the film delivered as it was very faithful to the source except by the climax which removed the silly squid thing but it was a unique experience. I do think Watchmen is similar to Blade Runner in someways about humanity and all that plus it's Sci-fi as well.

I HATE PRUERIST!

@FrankRabbit600 I've seen worst movies watch superman 3 then you WILL see a rotten movie and spiderman 3 is a clone to superman 3.

@FrankRabbit600 I have to say, I really liked this video...but like old whitehouse said, the BladeRunner music just seemed ....out of place. I made 2 vids using sound of silence and I think mine fall into the 99%. Excellent vid and editing, Great job.

@invincibleironman3 : You're probably right. I'm going to have to watch this again. I liked it more the 2nd time around, and maybe I'll like it even more if I watch it again. I haven't yet read the graphic novel or read much about the development of the movie. Hope to do that soon...
Thanks for reminding me of the Gunga Diner. My last name starts with "Din," so I used to get called "Gunga Din" by people in school and at work :)

@ComYxCon4LiFe ...Snyder did the best he could. All you can do is stay true to it - supposed he substituted Jennifer Connelly (Silk Spectre I), Tim Robbins (Nite Owl), Robert DeNiro (Comedian), William Hurt (Dr. Manhattan), Doug Hutchinson (Rorschach), Jessica Lange (Silk Spectre II)? Even with a stronger cast, it'd still pretty much be the same. Only a mini-series (similar to The Singing Detective) wouldve done it justice. Terry Gilliam, the original director said it was "unfilmable".

@RedStallion2000 ... i thought that was Zack Snyder's point..to reference the 80s and Blade Runner by having the flying scenes above the city and the zepplin's ... one had Gunga Diner ad in the graphic novel. The wayfarers the Veidt commercials (similar to Calvin Klein or Lair du temps)

@FrankRabbit600 ..you did a great job...and would you mind doing one for Donnie Darko?
-
@oldwhitehouse ...technically, it fits perfectly since the era of Watchmen was the 80s. Blade Runner is the most influential and most underrated film of our time. Watchmen is the most influential and underrated graphic novel of our time (Time Magazine called it one of the 100 best novels since 1923). Blade Runner was a box office disaster, since it followed E.T. and was much more depressing than early 80s pre-Reagan audience sensibities could stand.

Many fans will like this vid....but then again, who does?
I must admit, a good 99% of fan-made music videos on here are absolutely awful. Congrats on being part of the 1% that's actually pretty good.

Thanks. Looking back on this, I think I did a pretty poor job, but I appreciate that.

Watchmen could be the Blade Runner from this generation (2000's)
