  • Is there a wayI can get you ro re-post Natalie singing "Let Me Entertain You" from Gypsy...for some reason, it got removed.

  • I never posted that one on my channel before. I may add it sometime when I'm not busy though.

  • is this from another version of the movie "Gypsy"?

  • It's from the 1962 version with Rosalind Russell, Natalie Wood, and Karl Malden.

  • Oh my god... it's hard for me to focus on anything other than how CUTE that lamb is!!

  • I find Natalie's voice quite delightful in this. To me her less-than-perfect pitch works very well for this song. The wavering in her voice just adds to the sweetness and vulnerability of the moment. She sounds as if she is right on the verge of tears and you can't help but to want to cradle her in your arms like the little lamb she's holding and tell her that everything is going to be o.k. A stronger vocalist may not have been able to convey that "little girl lost" vulnerability quite as well.

  • That lamb is sooooo cute :D

  • oh my god that lamb is so AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! like really i could go on forever saying that!

  • is the scene "if mama was married" on here from the movie?

  • @lavalamp625 The sad part is that in real life, Rose lied to her daughters about their ages, they were never sure as children how old they were.

  • this song is really not all that simple and sweet, though it may appear that way. it's almost disturbing cause her most important day gets pushed aside for her mother and their new success with the Orpheum circuit. Also that last line "I wonder how old I am" is so beautifully poignant because of Rose's insane idea of keeping them naive to the fact they are growing older so they can be convincing onstage. Brilliant writing on both Sondheim and Styne's part.

  • @skullyj2002 That is so mean!! but LOL
