@astrosfeast Well, yeah I have heard that song haha. I'm not denouncing that it's a good song and i'm not trying to undermine the fact that John Petrucci's technical ability is far superior to most, but everyone is commenting freaking out about it. It's just a chromatic. It's not like he even really has to think about what he's playing.

@TheAnti1337 I take it you've never heard the song "flight of the bumblebee?" Flight of the bumblebee is pretty much one long chromatic riff. I'm thinkin with the title it must be his nod to the song.

But, it's just a chromatic scale? I mean, I guess it does take a good amount of skill to play that fast, but with the gain and everything he can get away with playing rather sloppily. I don't really understand whats so good about this.

Besides if you don't know that an "Ernie Ball guitar" is a Music Man then you obviously haven't been playing guitar long enough to correct anyone else (I'm referring to CristianTejadaU's comment).
