@THECONTROVERSIAL1 They say the Partizans were hiding in those underground tunnels from the Nazis during the WW2, so they knew about the tunnels at least. After the war they put a big red star on top of the pyramid, I think they knew, more than that I haven't been able to find out.
Why would anyone build a pyramid into the side of a mountain like that?

@raisin212k i dunno, maybe they thought it would be funny to make people in the future wondering about that. just like the egyptians did when they build pyramids in the desert or the inca's with their cities on top of mountains. in a couple of thousand years there probably will be also somebody asking "why the hell did they carve faces in the mountain" looking upon a site we call mount rushmore

Very interesting subject! Also, interesting that the town is called Visoko where the pyramid of the Sun is, "Visoko" in Bosnian means "tall" or "high".

@ZeroSixtyFive that is interesting indeed, do you know anything about the town's history? like how long it exists, or how they came to name it that way?. somehow I think that those artifacts which were found in the tunnels are not directly connected to those pyramids. The writing on the pieces, and drawings, seem to resemble more like artifacts which originated in the medieval era
