  • the advantage of foam latex in a mold is that it's more precise than a build up technique, you know exactly what your puppet will look like as it's expanding into a mold. It is more expensive, and requires some equipment mainly a blender and an oven (you will never be able to use again for food because it's toxic.) having said that, it's much less difficult than rumored. Try to get your hands on an instruction video from Kathy Zung. it's excellent

  • close... but the puppets are foam latex baked in molds. there's a bit of clay for mouths and eyebrows.

  • it was a canon 10D. we shot it against green screen, composited on after effects.

    shooting another one now on canon 30D.
