a regualr dvd disc can do HD sound and graphics, 5.1 audio is perfectly capable on a DVD along with perfect upscaling to 1080p.

Once again i dont think you understand what compression means, you keep relating it to bad quality/ lower quality, which isnt the purpose of compression in the first place.

mmh... standard monitors can do hd if the file presented is compressed? try that concept with a bluray disc hd disc and regular disc

btw blu ray does not only have space and quality, being the most lense friendly disc and smudge/scratch resistant shows a lot more.

a regular dvd disc cannot do hd sound and graphics even hd discs on 360 needs 4 discs for example to play ff13 oppose to ps3s bluray that uses 1 that goes back to wat u said its only space but then agen u did say quality in which u contradicted urself...i dont think compressing will make things higher quality thats y l bluray exists and won the disc war in the 1st place, more space, hd and less annoying load times hence gow 3 is ready to play without downloading to the hdd

Since when is L4D a console exclusive? I am pretty sure I've played it on the PC. And can't you play GoW on the PC aswell?
