why should anyone get a free ride? If someone is too useless to get a job they deserve to earn SFA doing shitty arsed jobs (the exception to this of course being the physically and mentally disabled).

From what I gather now, the dole is in the works of being scrapped as the govt. plans on directing more towards actually spending the funds on getting people straight into training and education rather than making them spend six months on a WFD project and getting their training credits.... To me that is much more sensible on getting people on the right track rather than piddling about!!!

you sir are a right cock. i mean, im not on the dole, i work hard for the money i get to support my way through uni. but if i didnt happen to have some good friends in the construction industry, i seriously doubt they would hire a 21 year old with no work experience for any job but at maccas. i know dudes 2,3 years older who havent even worked their way up to floor manager at mcD's and they've been there since 16. worth it? hell effin no!
