  • Thanks very much. Glad you enjoyed it. Very few things in life that appear on your plate taste as good a homegrown tomato!

  • The large tomatoes we grow are called Beef Masters. Most garden suppliers will, in season, sell these seedlings. We prefer to grow our own from seeds for reasons of pest control. Beef Master seeds are available from virtually all catalog seed companies. Beef Masters are our favorite for taste and size and, they grow like crazy.

  • kritcyn, good question. I would image the soil in LV is mostly made of sand? If this is true in your case, you may need to water more often as sand will not retain the moisture of clay based soil. if you see yellow leafs or notice new blooms drying out, start watering more often. Good luck.

  • sshukri0,

Glad you like our videos, we're trying hard to make CupRockTV the go-to place for home and garden info to make your life easier. We've tried virtually every passive way we can think of to keep birds out of our blueberry bushes and everything we've done has failed except covering the bushes with bird netting. We buy two, tri-fold tomato cages and place them around each blueberry bush then cover them with the bird netting. It's a little trouble that results in a lot of blueberries.

  • great job on the video, learned so much. all my tomatoes died :/ and trying to grow them again.

  • The best video for tomatoes i have watched so far, great job.

  • do you have any tips for container gardening?

  • I love your video, great information that I will use. I am pretty new to growing veggies, this is my second year. I did not do that well with tomatoes last year and I would love to do better this year. I live in South West Florida and the tomatoes are in my raised bed right now. I water daily, is that too much? The sun is still hot down here. What is happening already though is the leaves at the bottom get very dry and shriveled so I pinch them off. Do you know why?

    Thanks :)
