Here is a shot of the bubble output of my air pump and air stone. I have to tweak it and figure out what the best output is, but right now this is it. I will only be running it at night as I notice my fish are all at the top at night- plant respiration.

  • The pump takes air from the room (the same air you breathe) and pumps it through a hose into your tank. You just take some clear tubing and the attach what is called an airstone to the end of it.

My advice to you is to skip walmart and go to a dedicated pet store and ask them about a pump- tell them the size of your tank and what fish are in it and they will help you out.

  • i need help please uhm i saw this bubble pumper or i think it is on walmart and i was wondering how it works? how do the air get in there please help me my filter doesnt do alot of air oxygen

  • It doesn't say- it is a Tetra Whisper air pump suitable for 20 gallons it says.

I use a valve to slow the flow because that was a lot and the water splashed at the top. However in lowering the flow I fear I might damage the pump :s. I may just move the air stone a bit.

  • What's the airflow output of that?
