my newly constructed (feb 5, 2009) goat house (18 feet by 20 feet) located at bulua, cagayan de oro city, misamis oriental, philippines. I posted this video for the benefit of the newbies in goat raising, for guidance and comments from big brothers of the this venture. i started the construction last jan. 25, 2009 only. pakyaw ang labor at 10k. materials are recycled roofings (5k worth) and new coco lumber (8k) with bamboo (3k worth) as flooring. Total of 30 thousand more or less since i've been using other materials from our old barn. thanks for viewing.

  • hello Sir Julius, im Paulo from Cebu...ask lng ko sa imong mga tips in goat raising kay im planning to have my own dri sa cebu...ok ra?...btw my email add is paukadz@yahoo.com ... salamat kaau sa imong video, nd hopefully mtabangan ko nimo thru ur experiences pg start pa lng nimo...

  • @didypaulo tip#1 join yahoo group goatraisers for research and study. #2 PLANT legumes and grass first #3 decide whether goat dairying or goat meat production #4 you must have at least 100k capital for a 25 doe and one buck including housing like this. #5 one hectare land should be enough for a start of 25 doe #6 you must have patience, goatraising needs time at least 2 years for payback.

  • we are planning to put-up goat farming too and we're also building low-cost goat house like yours. but any idea where we can buy affordable good breed of goat?

  • @Nene0819 from where are you?

  • Sir,

Thank you for your text, I received it yesterday and tried to text you from my cell but unfortunately I can not text you from my cell, it says that the number I texted is not supported. But I will call you when ever I have the means.

  • Thanks!!! i love your video..

  • I sold 100 boar goats at about 95.00 US ea. In Arizona I build adobe block pens, and use a strand of Barded wire running through the center of the wall for reinforcement. Feeding them is no problem as they love tumble weeds ( Russan thistle) and bermuda grass. The heart of the operation is in the fencing, which includes an electric fence along with feild fencing. The electric part keeps the goats away from the fabric fence, otherwise they would destroy it.
