Northern Link Tunnel Forum - Part 2

On 7 August 2008, the West Brisbane Greens hosted on behalf of "Save the Inner West", a forum into the proposed Northern Link Tunnel.

The Northern Link Tunnel is a proposal for a tunnel to take traffic (in particular trucks) from the Warrego highway, through the Kenmore Bypass and Centary Highway to link with the Inner City Bypass / Kelvin Grove Road.

The tunnel will divide Toowong and the stacks are to be placed in the Brisbane Botanical Gardens and the Grammar sports fields.

Speakers inclued Mark Beilby (Save the Inner West), Councillor Kim Flesser - Northgate (ALP) and the 2007 Greens mayoral candidate Jo Bragg.

Newman's "mandate", the on / off ramps, the "filtration" stacks, Counicllor Peter Matic's (Toowong) response and the cost of the Northern Link Tunnel were discussed.
