LION - The Place 1982 pomp rock progressive music

Another band influenced by Styx and what worthy pretenders they were! They are also similar in places to the classy band Powerglide who released "Glide On" on Eko records a year earlier.
This was also the first shot (I believe) of Kurt Hansen who would later go on to front Head Easts classic comeback album "Choice Of Weapons". Excellent pomp with enough keyboards to satisfy even the most rabid fan and lead guitar flurries for the "shred" freaks. Great album!

Its an accurate description. I knew Kurt for about 6 months while on the road in an interim band between this band and Head East. He was very proud of his work in Lion.
