@nmssis yes it is - he was originally a drummer when he got a job in one of those music shops in Charing Cross Road, London. In order to get the position he had to say he could play two instruments - having lied by claiming he could play bass guitar, he thought he'd better get down to learning and the rest, as they say, is history.

THIS IS WHY I PLAY BASS!!!! So, as an impressionable 12 year old, I sat down to watch much music waaaaaaaay past my bed time. This came on. I never knew a bass could sound like that... So I begged my parents to buy me one.. they did. Much to their surprise I stuck with it. And it's all thanks to Mark King. And les Claypool. But mostly Mark king. Also, I would like to know if you got that Stanley Jordan.
