Youtube screwed up the video. Basically my 3 month old horse got caught up in a barb wire fence. She needed 6 layers of stitching... 500 stitches all together. Her chest and leg were slashed to the bone. By the 3rd day she was already walking and her stitches actually stayed in. THAT is a MIRACLE. Long story short.

  • this happened to my 1 year old babay today:( was awful got it wrapped round his neck couldnt cut the wire cause i was shaking too much poor baby :(

  • Poor baby :(

  • YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE BARB WIRE AROUND HORSES... IF YOUR A REAL! HORSE LOVER AND KEEPER YOU SHOULD OF KNOWN THAT!!!!!!! I'm glad Dixies okay, and you learned your lesson

  • OI this is no foualt of any one ok barb wire is dangerous and is unsuitale for horses/ ponies but hey what bout wooden fences horses ponies injure them kill thems selfs doing the same thing ok there will never be a proper safe fenceing for horses please stopo blaming athe owner as every thing to do with horses is a dnaerouse :_

  • You should NEVER put horses and barbed wore together. I'm studying veterinary and spent some time at an equiclinic and a horse also came in cut up like this-took 3 vets and 5 hours to stitch him up. It is horrible and I can't begin to imagine the pain the horses must be in when they get injured like this. Please please don't keep your horses in barbed wire paddocks. I know it is a cheap option but in the end the vet bills and the pain and suffering of your horse isn't worth it

  • someone on horseland told me she died...

  • Dont grump at the owner as I have seen that ANY fence do that much damage to a hore. Including wood and normal wire

  • I agree, its the fault of the onwer the horse had the accident, barbed wire is dangerouse and should not be used around horses no matter the circimstance.

  • Barb wire is NOT horse fencing.... Horse fencing may be more expensive, but worth it because you won't be paying for surgery.

  • omg poor thing

    hope she got better

    im nearly cryin !!
